Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na analýzu televizní formy seriálu Californication v rozsahu první až šesté sezóny. Analýza se soustředí na narativní a stylistické prvky formy. Metodologicky vychází z textuální analýzy (kritický přístup ke studiu televize založený na interpretaci) a z neoformalismu. Rozbor sestává z analýzy hybridního žánru dramedy s důrazem na témata, komediální a dramatické aspekty. Poté popisuje analýzu narativních struktur, která se soustředí na dekonstrukci Hanka Moodyho podle přístupu Jeremyho Butlera, na funkce dalších postav a na principy seriality v rámci jednotlivých sezón. Nakonec se text zaobírá vybranými strukturními prvky a fokalizací s důrazem na dominantního protagonistu.This bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of television form of the TV serial Californication from its first season to its sixth. The analysis focuses on narrative and stylistic elements of form. Methodically it draws from textual analysis (critical approach to the study of television based on an interpretation) and from neoformalism. It consists of the analysis of hybrid genre called dramedy with an emphasis on subjects, comedic and dramatic aspects. Then it describes the analysis of narrative structures which focuses on Hank Moody's character deconstruction according to an approach by Jeremy Butler, on the other characters functions and serial principles within individual seasons. Finally, the text concerns with chosen structural elements and character-focalization with an emphasis on the dominant protagonist.
