Štúdia sa zaoberá vplyvom online sociálnych sietí na človeka a jeho kultúrnu identitu. Vychádza z predpokladu, že online sociálne siete sú ukotvené v reálnom prostredí a odzrkadľujú skutočné sociálne siete jednotlivcov. Preto je v štúdii načrtnutá sociológia sietí a pôsobenie sieťových štruktúr na ich členov. Dôraz je kladený najmä na formovanie identity v kontexte životného príbehu v reálnom a online prostredí a na popis naratívnych aspektov reálnej a virtuálnej identity. Cieľom štúdie je porovnať online a offline podobu identity jednotlivca a definovať rozdiely medzi týmito dvoma konceptmi.The thesis deals with the effect of online social networks on an individual and their cultural identity. It is based on the assumption that online social networks are anchored in the real environment and reflect real social networks of individuals. Therefore, the thesis outlines the sociology of networks and the effects that network structures have on their members. The focus is mainly on the formation of identity in the context of life-story in the real and online environment and on a description of the narrative aspects of real and virtual identity. The aim of the thesis is to compare online and offline version of identity of an individual and define the differences between these two concepts.
