Tématem této bakalářské práce byl překlad povídek "true short story" a "the child" od britské autorky Ali Smith. Překlad následuje představební autora a povídek, které byly v rámci práce přeloženy. V komentáři byly na rovině lexikální, syntaktické a stylistické analyzovány problematické pasáže v překladu.The topic of this bachelor thesis was a translation of two short stories "true short story" and "the child" written by the British author Ali Smith. The translation is followed by the itroduction about the author and the short stories which were part of this thesis. The problematic parts in translation were discussed in the commentary in terms of lexicology, syntax and stylistic.
