Tato diplomová práce pojednává o životě, díle a nauce svatého biskupa a mučedníka Ireneje z Lyonu. Nejprve je představen jeho životopis a místa, kterými byl během svého života ovlivněn. Dále se pojednává o jeho dílech Adversus haereses a Demonstratio apostolicae praedicationis, která napsal na obhajobu katolické víry zejména proti gnózi. Témata z jeho díla jsou rozčleněna podle vztahu k teologickým disciplínám. V hlavní části práce se vysvětluje etymologický a biblický původ výrazu "recapitulatio omnium in Christo" jakožto ústřední koncepce jeho teologie. Práce se též věnuje popisu jednání Nejsvětější Trojice navenek, kdy "Boží Logos" a "Boží Moudrost" jsou vnímány jako "ruce Boží". Popis různých smluv v dějinách spásy dává vhled do teologie smlouvy u sv. Ireneje. Jeho boj proti doketismu ukazuje význam Vtělení a s ním též roli Panny Marie v dějinách spásy. Poslední část práce se zabývá hledáním odkazů na dílo sv. Ireneje v dokumentech univerzálního církevního Magisteria a zejména v dokumentech II. vatikánského koncilu.This master thesis deals with the life, work and teachings of the St. Bishop and Martyr Irenaeus of Lyons. Firstly is introduced his biography and places by which he was influenced during his life. Furthermore are discussed his works Adversus haereses and Demonstratio Apostolicae praedicationis which were written to defend the Catholic faith, especially against the Gnosis. The topics of his works are divided according to the relationship to specific theological disciplines. The main part explains the etymological and the biblical origin of the idea "recapitulatio omnium in Christo" as the central concept of his theology. The work is also dedicated to the description of the action of the Most Holy Trinity on outside, the "Logos of God" and the "Wisdom of God" are seen as "the Hands of God". Description of various agreements in salvation history gives insight into Covenant Theology of St. Irenaeus. His polemics against doketism shows the importance of Incarnation and also the role of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the salvation history. The last part deals with finding references to the work of St. Irenaeus in the documents of Church's universal Magistery and especially in the documents of the Vatican Council II.
