Cílem bakalářské práce je analýza souboru Sedmiramenný svícen Josefa Škvoreckého. Naším záměrem je postihnout Škvoreckého dílo s uvedenou problematikou jako variantu k dobově obnovenému zájmu literatury o události válečného období a o pronásledování Židů. V bakalářské práci se soustředíme na narativní rozbor souboru Sedmiramenný svícen a budeme zkoumat, jak je prostřednictvím narativních prostředků budována tematická dominanta židovské zkušenosti, jaké nese znaky, jaké motivy a témata jsou v tomto případě použity a co je ve Škvoreckého povídkovém souboru Sedmiramenný svícen akcentováno.The topic of this bachelor theisis is The Topic of Holocaust in Sedmiramenný svícen of Josef Škvorecký. In this thesis we concentrate on narrative analysis of the short stories file Sedmiramenný svícen and we research how Škvorecký constructs the thematic dominant oh the Jewish experince of holocaust. The opening chapter sketches the literary context, in which Škvorecký entered his works. It is the period of the end of fifty and early sixty years of twenty century. Political and social trials, which where under way in the Czech reality int this time, caused, that the taboo topics as the Jewish fate and images of war eagered to increased attention. In individual chapters we apply with different topics and their variations, categories of narrator, time, characters and space or with methods, which Škvorecký uses for construction of the fictional world and which are typical for all short stories file. In the end of each story we compare all stories to define their differencies or identical features. We mention also Škvorecký's realistic dialogue and language which he uses. The final chapter summarizes knowledge, which we made in our analysis.
