Cílem této práce je rozbor postmoderních prvků v sérii Temná věž od Stephena Kinga. Práce se zaměřuje na žánrovou synkrezi v rámci série a autorovu práci s populárními žánry. Zabývá se intertextuálními odkazy na díla jiných autorů i na intertextuální propojení autorovy vlastní tvorby a jeho vlivem na výstavbu díla. Dále se zabývá intermedialitou, především vlivem hudby a filmu. V neposlední řadě analyzuje metafikci, především autorovo vstupování do fikčního světa a jeho mísení fikce a skutečnosti.The aim of this work is to analyze the postmodern elements in the Dark Tower series by Stephen King. The work focuses on the combanation of genres in the series and the author's work with popular genres. It deals with intertextual references to the works of other authors and intertextual links to the author's own work and its impact on construction works. It also deals with intermedia, especially the influence of music and movie. Finally, analyzes metafiction, especially the author's entering into the fictional world and his blending of fiction and reality.
