Cílem předkládané bakalářské práce je rozbor děl českých cestovatelů do oblasti Blízkého východu v druhé polovině 19. století. Analýza bude vytvořena na základě tematického zkoumání příslušných textů. Podkladem pro komparaci jsou spisy Františka Klementa, Jana Nerudy, Josefa Wünsche a Viléma Němce. Součástí práce je také exkurz do vývoje vzájemných vztahů mezi evropskou a muslimskou civilizací, zároveň bude čtenáři přiblížena historie cestování do orientálního prostoru.The purpose of this thesis is to analyze writings of Czech travelers to the Middle East area in the second half of the 19th century. The parsing will be created on the basis of a thematic examination of the submitted texts. The base for comparacy are the records of František Klement, Jan Neruda, Josef Wünsch and Vilém Němec. The thesis includes an excersion to the development of relations between the European and Muslim civilizations. Also the history of travel to the Oriental area will be presented to the readers.
