Táto diplomová práca pojednáva o problematike procesných lehôt v českej a slovenskej právnej úprave. Vzhľadom na rozsah problematiky, ktorá je navyše poňatá komparatívne, nie je možné pristúpiť k analýze všetkých procesných lehôt ako sú obsiahnuté v procesnoprávnom predpise. V práci je preto venovaná pozornosť len vybraným inštitútom. Cieľom práce je predovšetkým zamyslenie sa nad plynutím času vo forme lehôt s ohľadom na konkrétne inštitúty. Práca sa člení na úvod, štyri kapitoly, ktoré sa následne členia do podkapitol a záver. Cieľom prvej kapitoly je uvedenie čitateľa do problematiky procesných lehôt cez priblíženie obecných právnych pojmov. Druhá kapitola predstavuje gro práce, pretože sa zameriava na problematiku procesných lehôt komplexne, a to z hľadiska ich členenia, počítania, následkov ich uplynutia či prostriedkov nápravy ich uplynutia. Tretia kapitola pojednáva o procesných lehotách v komparácii s lehotami hmotnoprávnymi. Štvrtá kapitola je venovaná dištinkcii pojmu lehota a doba. V každej kapitole sú teoretické poznatky doplnené o vybrané inštitúty, na ktorých je daná problematika demonštrovaná.The diploma thesis is focused on the problems of the procedural periods in czeck and slovak civil proceedings. Thanks to complexity of the chosen theme with the comparative character, it´s almost impossible to deal with all procedural periods, that are adjusted in both procedural regulations. That´s why I have chosen only certain problematic institutes. The aim of the diploma thesis is mostly the reflection on the character of the procedural periods due to chosen institutes. The diploma thesis consists of introduction, 4 chapters and subchapters and conclusion. First chapter intoduces the reader to the problems of the procedural periods through general legal terms. Second chapter is the most important because it describes procedural periods, brings its division and the rules of the computation of periods. It also involves the problems with the default of the period and its consequences as well as the instruments how to cope with it. Third chapter describes procedural periods by defining substantive periods. Last,the fourth chapter deals with difference between the terms: period and time. The theoretical information in every chapter is completed with the examples of the chosen institutes.
