V rámci diplomové práce byla provedena celková analýza pleistocénní sbírky kostí a zubů nalezených Dr. Jindřichem Wanklem, nacházející se v paleontologickém fondu Vlastivědného muzea v Olomouci. Práce dále stručně informuje o životě Dr. Wankla a též o lokalitách, ze kterých pocházejí nalezené kosti a zuby. Použity byly metody osteometrické, zooarcheologické a u vybraných zubů metoda analýzy mikrostruktury přírůstků zubního cementu (určování věku živočichů z přírůstků cementu). Věk studovaných zubů z vlka je v rozmezí 1-1,5 roku, u medvěda jeskynního je 1-20 let. Sezóna úhynu (ulovení) živočichů není vždy stejná, což potvrzuje hypotézu o celoročním pobytu lidí na lokalitě. Součástí práce je vypracovaný podrobný katalog se 178 stranami doplňující celou sbírku s uvedením zjištěných údajů. Ve sbírce se nachází množství osteologického materiálu živočichů Canis lupus, Coelodonta antiquitatis, Equus germanicus, Gulo gulo, Mammuthus primigenius, Ovibos moschatus, Panthera spelaea a Ursus spelaeus. Počet všech identifikovaných částí (NISP) = 355. Minimální počet jedinců (MNI) = 37.The aim of the thesis is a comprehensive analysis of an assortment of pleistocene bones and teeth which represents a part of a paleontological collection housed at the Regional Museum in Olomouc. Furthermore, the thesis briefly informs about a life of the original author of the examined collection, dr. Jindřich Wankel, and depicts places of discoveries of its components. For the analysis of the matter, osteometric and zooarchaelogical methods were employed. The examination of the microstructural increase of dental cement for determinating animals's age was used with selected teeth as well. The age of examined teeth ranges from 1 to 1,5 years for wolf and 1 to 20 years in the case of cave bear. Season of death (caught) of the animals is not always the same, which confirms the hypothesis of a year-long stay of people in the area. The text is accompanied by a detailed catalogue describing the components of the assortment with data and figures obtained through the analysis. The extensive collection consists of osteological material of Canis lupus, Coelodonta antiquitatis, Equus germanicus, Gulo gulo, Mammuthus primigenius, Ovibos moschatus, Panthera spelaea and Ursus spelaeus.
