Svou diplomovou práci jsem psala na téma Manželství v křesťanských a ateistických rodinách. Hlavním fenoménem, jímž jsem se zabývala, bylo manželství a jeho některé důležité aspekty, které tento vztah utváří a současně ovlivňují. Cílem mé práce je zjištění, jak se tyto jednotlivé aspekty a jiné faktory podílí na manželské spokojenosti v různých rodinách, a jestli existují rozdíly ve vnímání této spokojenosti mezi křesťanskými a ateistickými manželskými páry, popřípadě mezi muži a ženami. Popsala jsem metodiku výzkumu a sestavila soubor respondentů, který tvořil šest manželských párů, z toho tři páry křesťanské a tři páry ateistické. Uskutečnila jsem kvalitativní výzkum (případovou studii) a předložila jednotlivé výsledky a analýzu dat. Rozdíl v manželské spokojenosti křesťanských a ateistických párů byl velmi malý, a rozdíl mezi průměry celkového manželského přizpůsobení křesťanských a ateistických párů byl minimální. Zdá se tedy, že víra je dobrým prediktorem udržení manželství, nemá však vliv na manželskou spokojenost. Dále bylo zjištěno, že rozdíl v manželské spokojenosti mužů a žen, stejně jako rozdíl mezi průměry celkového manželského přizpůsobení mužů a žen, je minimální. Výsledky naznačují, že se muži a ženy cítí v manželském svazku stejně dobře. Ukázalo se, že k manželské spokojenosti značně přispívá vzájemná shoda mezi potřebami obou manželů, dále dobrá úroveň komunikace, podobná očekávání a dobré manželské přizpůsobení v jednotlivých oblastech manželského soužití a v tomto důsledku i vhodný výběr partnera. Všechny páry zaujímají k nevěře negativní postoj. Většina respondentů uvádí svou věrnost a současně, že by nevěru dokázala odpustit.I wrote my thesis on the subject of marriage in Christian and atheistic families. The main phenomenon which I have dealt with, was a marriage and it?s important aspects which forms this relationship and impacts on it at the same time. The aim of my work is to determine how these various aspects and other factors contribute to marital contentment in different families, and if there are differences in the perception of contentment among Christian and atheistic married couples, or between men and women. I described the research methodology and drawn up set of respondents, which included six married couples, three of them were Christian couples and three pairs were atheist. I conducted qualitative research (case study) and presented individual results and data analysis. The difference in marital contentment in Christian and atheistic pairs was very small, and the difference between the averages of the total marital adaptation of Christian and atheistic pairs was also minimal. So it seems that faith is a good predictor of maintaining a marriage, but has no effect on marital contentment. It was also found that the difference in marital contentment between men and women, as well as the difference between the averages of the total marital adaptation of men and women, is minimal. The results suggest that the way how well men and women feel in marriage are mutual. It turns out that what contributes greatly to marital contentment is mutual agreement between the needs of spouses, as well as a good level of communication, similar expectations and good marital adaptation in various areas of married life, and consequently a suitable choice of partner. All couples have a negative attitude towards adultery. Most respondents said that they are faithful and simultaneously, that they could forgive infidelity.
