Bakalářskou práci tvoří analýza výchozího textu, kterým jsou dva úryvky z knihy Edmunda Morrise Beethoven: The Universal Composer, překlad těchto úryvků a komparativní analýza výchozího a cílového textu. Analýza výchozího textu slouží k podrobnějšímu seznámení se s textem. Získané poznatky jsou využity při samotném překladu. Komparativní analýza srovnává výchozí a cílový text z různých hledisek, zabývá se překladatelskými problémy a jejich řešením. Cílem práce je využití analýzy výchozího textu a dosažení adekvátního překladu.The bachelor thesis consists of the source text analysis, the translation of the source text (two excerpts from the book Beethoven: The Universal Composer by Edmund Morris) and the comparative analysis of the source text and the target text. The aim of the source text analysis is to gain relevant information from the source text which will be helpful during the process of translation. The comparative analysis discusses the source text and the target text, problematic elements encountered during the translation and their solutions. The objective of the bachelor thesis is to use the information gained from the source text analysis and create a good translation.
