This thesis deals with possible kinesiotherapy procedures in fractures of proximal tibia. In the theoretic part the kinesiology of knee-joint, shank and adjacent structures are described. The greatest attention is paid to targeted possibilities of kinesiotherapy in this group of patients. The information gained was verified by a casuistic study. With the woman patient we found slight valgosity of the knee-joint on the operated lower extremity, as a probable consequence of a fracture, as well as the risk of occurrence of secondary gonarthrosis. It was found out that the fracture in the sphere of the knee-joint has an impact on the transmission of the load in the particular zones of the sole while walking. With patients after fractures of proximal tibia it is suitable to concentrate on re-education of walking and strengthening of m. quadriceps femoris.
