Cílem této práce je shrnutí dostupných informací o progresi myopie a jejích terapeutických možnostech. Součástí práce je obecný popis myopie, její prevalence ve světě a rizikové faktory, které mohou mít na progresi vliv. V práci jsou uvedeny možnosti korekce pro různé stupně myopie. Dále je zde popsáno téma progresivní myopie a patologických změn na oku, které při ní mohou vznikat. Je zde uvedena kapitola o vlivu myopie na další oční choroby a poslední částí práce je právě kapitola o možnostech terapie progrese myopie.The main aim of the thesis is summarizing available information about progression of myopia and about its therapeutic possibilities. The thesis contains also a general description of myopia, prevalence of myopia in the world and possible risk factors of myopia progression. In the thesis are mentioned possibilities of correction for different degrees of myopia. Next is described progressive myopia and pathological changes of eye which can occur. There is chapter mentioned the influence of myopia on other eye diseases and the last part of the thesis is about therapy options of progression of myopia.
