Popisuje činnost a vztah k dalším kulturně politickým orgánům a rozděluje ji do jednotlivých etap. The thesis focuses on the film's institutional history with the emphasis on the Czech state-owned cinematography. It primarily examines the Czechoslovakian State Film's institutions under which the movies of 1945-1955 era were made. It explores the subject in perspective of the period institutions while the topic of Czech feature film production of the time provides a wider frame to convey information related to development and policy-making of the dramaturgy board of Czech cinematography. The thesis refers to the change of position, structure and function of the film dramaturgy from the first post-war weeks to 1955. It depicts connections and interactions to other cultural-political institutions and associates them with specific periods. The thesis draws on methodology approach of the new film history combining it with genetic methodology research of various materials associated with film production. The text opens with preamble based on general historical works, which formulates how the new people's democratic state, its cultural policy and film industry were established. The subsequent part of the thesis dedicated to the period of 1948-1955 describes in detail the establishment process of the dramaturgical appraisal authority, taking into account interactions between the Czechoslovakian State Film institution and the communist cultural-policy administration. Based on the available period archive sources it reveals progressively the operation and agenda of the particular dramaturgical boards clarifying the statuses and directives under which they carried out their mission. To workaround comprehension difficulties a segmented approach to thematic context was adopted rather than straightforward linear chronological listing. The conclusion was made in order to avoid oversimplification and needless generalization of the independent fact findings. The emphasis was thus made on mapping the process of film dramaturgy as a whole, providing an explanation of how and under what circumstance the particular dramaturgy affairs affected the film production. The thesis also describes why turbulent changes of connection and disparition between dramaturgy and production constituents of the film-making were actually taking place. Last but not least the work highlights peculiar characteristics, which were distorting the otherwise homogeneous and seemingly rigid systém of film genre implementation.
