Tato kulturně antropologická teoreticko-empirická práce se zabývá problematikou multikulturního soužití a jejím zobrazováním ve vybraných epizodách sci-fi seriálu Star Trek: The Next Generation. Práce vychází z kvalitativní analýzy několika epizod, která je založena na odborných dílech autorů, jež se danou problematikou zabývají. Hlavním cílem práce je zjistit, jak jsou ve vybraném seriálu zobrazovány multikulturní problémy, jak se tyto prameny s problematikou vyrovnávají a nakolik existuje paralela mezi daným vizuálním uměním a současnými multikulturními problémy. Na základě analýzy vybraných epizod seriálu Star Trek: The Next Generation, která je podložena i notnými odbornými literárními zdroji, zpracovávám podobným způsobem také jiné filmové a seriálové zdroje.This culturally-anthropological theoretically-empirical thesis deals with problematic of multicultural coexistence and its portrayal in chosen episodes of sci-fi series Star Trek: The Next Generation. The thesis is based on qualitative analysis of these episodes and on scientific literature of authors dealing with this problematic. Main goal of this thesis is to determine style of picturing of multicultural problems, how this source is dealing with this theme and if there is strong parallel between this visual art and contemporary multicultural problems. Based on analysis of several episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation series, which is supported by many scientific literary sources, there is similar analysis of other movie-sources and TV series-sources.
