Kontinentální hokejová liga (KHL), na kterou je zaměřena moje bakalářská práce, je soutěž v ledním hokeji pořádaná Ruskou federací. Práce mimo samotnou ligu popisuje i vznik a postupný vývoj ledního hokeje ve světě i v Rusku, podrobně se věnuje organizační struktuře soutěže a popisuje z části finanční stránku a sponzoring ligy. Dále jsou charakterizovány jednotlivé divize ligy, nejslavnější kluby i zastoupení ČR, v podání klubu HC Lev Praha. V práci se také částečně věnuji budoucnosti ligy a geopolitickému hledisku v souvislosti s výhodným postavením Ruské federace jako největšího státu dle rozlohy.Continental hockey league (KHL), as a main topic of my bachelor´s thesis, is a professional ice hockey league organized by the Russian federation. The essay itself describes establishment and continuous development of ice hockey in the world as well as in Russia. It closely concentrates on the organizational structure of the league and also illustrates the financial resources, respectively sponsorships of the league. Furthermore, the divisions and distribution of the teams into these divisions are explained, including HC Lev Prague. The KHL team located in Prague as well as other famous teams in the league. I have also analyzed future of the league and geopolitical outlook in a connection with the beneficial position of the Russian federation as the largest country in the world by area.
