Tématem diplomové práce je porovnání ekologie a exploatace lesů v České republice a v Nizozemsku, rozdělené do tří hlavních částí. V první části je popisována historie vývoje lesní vegetace v České republice a v Nizozemsku od poslední doby ledové až po současnost. Druhá část je věnována porovnání statistických údajů, jako je lesnatost, druhové složení lesů, těžba, zásoby dřeva, věkové složení lesů a struktura majetku, a jejich následnému vysvětlení. Stať končí částí pojednávající o lesním zákoně obou zemí a o právech a povinnostech vlastníků i veřejnosti.The topic of this thesis is to compare the ecology and exploitation of forests in the Czech Republic and the Netherlands, divided into three main parts. The first part describes the history of the development of forest vegetation in the Czech Republic and the Netherlands since the last ice age to the present days. The second part is devoted to statistical data, such as forest cover, species composition of forests, logging, groving stock volume,age structure and types of ownership in both countries followed by assessment and their subsequent explanations. The thesis ends with a section on forest law of both countries and the rights and obligations of owners and the public.
