V teoretickej časti práce je popísaná psychologická charakteristika skúmanej vekovej skupiny s dôrazom na sociálny vývin v období adolescencie, školská trieda a jej význam v procese vytvárania individuálnej identity adolescenta a fenomén šikanovania v školskom prostredí. Následne sú prezentované výsledky niektorých kvantitatívny výskumov výskytu šikanovania na stredných školách v Slovenskej republike. V empirickej časti je popísaný celý proces realizácie nášho kvantitatívneho výskumu popisujeme výskumné metódy, výskumný súbor, priebeh výskumu, ako aj štatistické spracovanie dát. Výsledky práce zahrňujú zistenia významnosti vzťahu sociálnej atmosféry triedy ? kohézie, emocionálnej atmosféry, a výskytu šikanovania ako jednej z foriem rizikového správania v školskom prostredí. Pozornosť ďalej je venovaná významnosti vzťahu medzi hodnotením fenoménu šikanovania žiakmi a triednymi učiteľmi. Ďalej sú zisťované rozdiely medzi triedami druhého ročníka jednotlivých typov škôl, ako aj rozdiely medzi školami.The theoretical part of the work describes the psychological characteristics of studied age group with the emphasis on social development during the period of adolescence, the school class and its importance in the process of forming the individual identity of the adolescent and further describes the phenomenon of bullying in the school environment. Further on there are presented the results of certain quantitative research of bullying occurrence in the high schools in the Slovak Republic. The whole process of realization of our quantitative research including the research methods, the research file, the progress of research as well as the statistics data processing, are described in the empirical part. The results of this work involve the findings of significance of the relationship between the social atmosphere of the class and cohesion, and the emotional atmosphere, and the occurrence of bullying as the one form of risk behavior in the school environment. Further on the attention is paid on the significance of the relationship between the evaluation of bullying phenomenon by the students and by the class teachers. There are also examined the differences between the second- year classes of the particular school types as well as the differences between the schools.
