Diplomová práce se zabývá fenoménem smrti, spiritualitou a jejich vzájemným vztahem. První kapitola teoretické části popisuje pojetí smrti v historickém a kulturním kontextu, mapuje základní postoje ke smrti. Ve druhé kapitole je analyzována problematika náboženské a nenáboženské spirituality a jejího vztahu ke smrti. Třetí kapitola je věnována empirickým výzkumům v obou oblastech. Výzkumné šetření pro účely této práce bylo realizováno se vzorkem 200 mladých dospělých. Cílem bylo zjistit, jak pohlaví, náboženská afiliace a studijní zaměření souvisí s různými projevy spirituality a postoji ke smrtiThe thesis deals with the death phenomenon, spirituality and their relationship. The first chapter of the theoretical part describes death in its historical and cultural kontext and depicts fundamental death attitudes. The problems of religious and secular spirituality and their connection to death are analysed in the second chapter. Last chapter of the theoretical part aims at empirical research in both spheres. The research survey for the purposes of the thesis was carried out with a sample group of 200 young adults. Its goal was to find out the link between gender, religious affiliation and field of study and various expressions of spirituality and death attitudes.
