Diplomová práce je zaměřena na životní spokojenost seniorů a s ní související kvalitu psychického stavu. Práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou a část výzkumnou. Teoretická část se zabývá problematikou stárnutí a stáří, biologickými, psychickými a sociálními změnami, které se v procesu stárnutí objevují. Dále se věnuje postojům společnosti k seniorům, péči o seniory v historii a v současnosti a problematice dostupných sociálních služeb pro seniory na území České republiky. Výzkumná část popisuje výzkum životní spokojenosti a s ní související kvality psychického stavu. Výzkum zahrnuje 120 respondentů, pro získání dat byl použit Dotazník životní spokojenosti a SUPOS 7. Cílem práce bylo zjistit případné rozdíly mezi našimi hodnotami životní spokojenosti a kvality psychického stavu seniorů a normou obou dotazníků, rozdíly v životní spokojenosti a kvalitě psychického stavu mezi seniory žijícími doma, seniory žijícími v domovech pro seniory a seniory žijícími v domech s pečovatelskou službou. Dalším cílem bylo zjistit rozdíly v životní spokojenosti a kvalitě psychického stavu mezi jednotlivými pohlavími, zjistit rozdíly v životní spokojenosti mezi seniory žijícími v manželství a těmi, kteří žijí bez partnera a zjistit vliv věku na životní spokojenost a kvalitu psychického stavu. Práce se také zaměřuje na to, jak spolu životní spokojenost a kvalita psychického stavu souvisí.The dissertation is focused on the seniors and their life satisfaction and also on the quality of their mental condition. This thesis is divided into the theoretical part and the part of the research. The theoretical part deals with aging and old age, biological, mental and social changes which are typical for the process of aging. The next topic which is a part of the paper is the attitude of the society to seniors, the care of the elderly during history and present and the issue of available social services for seniors in the Czech Republic. The part of the research describes the research of the life satisfaction and also the quality of mental condition which is connected with it. The research includes 120 respondents and the special questionnaire and SUPOS 7 were used. The goal of the work was to determine any potential differences between our values of the life satisfaction and quality of mental condition of the elderly and the standard of the both questionnaires, the differences in the life satisfaction and quality of the mental condition between seniors living at home, seniors living in the House of Seniors and the elderly living in nursing homes. The next aim of the work was to find the differences in life satisfaction and the quality of mental condition between sexes, to find out the same differences with the same problems between seniors who are still marriage and those who live without any partner and to discover the influence of the age on the life satisfaction and quality of mental condition. The dissertation is also focused on the connection between the life satisfaction and the quality of mental conditions.
