Diplomová práce se zabývá vybranými moderními metodami mnohorozměrné statistiky a aplikacemi této teorie na reálných datech. První kapitola práce, která se zabývá obecně mnohorozměrnou statistikou, nás stručně uvede do studované problematiky. Další kapitola se již věnuje shlukové analýze, kde se čtenář seznámí jak s hierarchickým, tak i s nehierarchickým shlukováním. Navazující podkapitola se zabývá dalším možným přístupem shlukování, a to metodou samoorganizujících map. V další kapitole se seznámíme s regresní metodou dílčích nejmenších čtverců a s jejími možnými algoritmy. Tato teoretická část je proložena několika jednoduchými příklady, na kterých budou ukázány vybrané zmíněné algoritmy, avšak závěrečná část práce čtenáři představí aplikaci uvedené teorie na reálných datech a seznámí jej přitom se základními funkcemi potřebnými pro snadnou práci ve statistickém softwaru R.This thesis deals with some selected modern methods of multivariate statistical analysis with some aplications on real data. The first chapter of this theses which deals with a multivariate statistical analysis leads us generally into the theme of the thesis. The second chapter deals with cluster analysis, where hierarchical and nonhierarchical clustering is introduced. The next chapter deals with a different approach of the clustering problém, the self organizing maps. In the next chapter, regression method of the partial least squares (PLS) and its alghoritms are introduced. This theoretical part of the thesis is complemented by some easy examples, but the last part of the thesis shows aplication of this theory on real data and also some important function for the use of the statistical software R.
