Diplomová práce předkládá souhrnné informace o cestovním ruchu na Kanárských ostrovech a charakteristikách hlavních sedmi ostrovů ? Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, Tenerife, La Palma, La Gomera a El Hierro. Ostrovy mají jak různý přírodní a kulturní potenciál, tak stupeň rozvinutosti a vybavenosti. V textu je na tato specifika kladen zvláštní důraz, část práce se soustředí na vliv odlišností na návštěvnost a profil návštěvníka. Práce využívá především data kanárského statistického úřadu (ISTAC). Práce v úvodu popisuje historický kontext vzniku turismu na Kanárských ostrovech a jeho následný vývoj, dále představuje strategii Kanárských ostrovů v oblasti cestovního ruchu a probíhající projekty. V závěru navrhuje možný vývoj rozvoje regionu. Informace z dostupných zdrojů jsou porovnávány s vlastními poznatky autorky zjištěnými během 13 měsíců strávených na Kanárských ostrovech.This thesis presents summary of tourism in the Canary Islands and partial characteristics of the seven main islands - Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, Tenerife, La Palma, La Gomera and El Hierro. Those islands have both different natural and cultural potential and the level of development and facilities. The thesis emphasizes those differences and specifics, part of the work focuses on the impact of differences on attendance and visitor profile. Data used in text were provided by Canary Statistical Office (ISTAC). At the beginning the thesis describes the historical context of tourism in the Canary Islands, and its subsequent development, as well as a strategy of Canary Islands in tourism and ongoing projects. The conclusion suggests possible development of the region. Information were taken from available sources and compared with own experience, which the author gained during 13 months in Canary Islands.
