Cílem této diplomové práce je zjistit, jak důležitou roli má kult Panny Marie Guadalupské v současné mexické společnosti a jaký byl jeho vývoj během historie. První část práce je zaměřena počátky uctívání Panny Marie Guadalupské, a také na historické události s tímto kultem spojenými, jako například válka za nezávislost, nebo válka kristerů. Část práce se věnuje vnímání guadalupanského kultu z pohledu některých mexických spisovateli (Octavio Paz, Carlos Monsiváis, Roger Bartra, Roberto Blancarte). V poslední kapitole této práce navazujeme na pohled vnímámí kultu Carlose Monsiváise a analyzujeme vnímání Panny Marie Guadalupské z pohledu kulturních mas a jejího využití a ?zneužití? v současném moderním světě.The aim of the thesis is to find out an importance of Virgin of Guadalupe in Mexican society nowadays and what development has been during the history. First part of the work is focused on the beginnings of Virgin of Guadalupe and historical events connected with this cult, for example independence war or Cristero war. Some of the work is engaged to perception of Guadalupe cult by point of view some of Mexican writers (Octavio Paz, Carlos Monsiváis, Roger Bartra, Roberto Blancarte). I am connecting on the view of point of perception of the cult of Carlos Monsiváis in the last chapter of the dissertation and analyzing perception of Mary by cultural mass?s view of point and its utilization and ´misuse´ in this modern world nowadays.
