Existují obce, v nichž do zastupitelstva kandiduje pouze jedno politické uskupení nebo pouze tolik kandidátů, kolik míst v zastupitelstvu se volí. Volby tedy nejsou soutěživé. Cílem bakalářské práce Nesoutěživost komunálních voleb v Olomouckém kraji 2002-2010 je popsat, v jak velikých obcích k takovýmto volbám dochází a jaký vliv má nesoutěživost na volební účast. Z názvu je zřejmé, že se zaměřuji na obce Olomouckého kraje v posledních třech komunálních volbách konaných v letech 2002, 2006 a 2010. Po představení volebního systému pro komunální volby a obecní struktury Olomouckého kraje z úvodních kapitol přecházím k samotnému výzkumu. Ukazuji, v jak velikých obcích dochází k nesoutěživým volbám nejčastěji. Následně pomocí kombinace diachronního a synchronního srovnání potvrzuji hypotézu, že nesoutěživost voleb ovlivňuje volební účast tak, že ji snižuje. Pro přehlednost v přílohách přikládám tabulky s volební účastí u obcí v jednotlivých soutěživých i nesoutěživých volbách.There exist municipalities where merely one political formation runs for local authority or merely as many candidates apply as many seats are to be elected. Elections, therefore, are not competitive. Objective of this thesis, non-competitiveness of local elections in Olomouc region within years 2002-2010, is to describe the size of those municipalities where elections are pursued and thus in which way non-competitiveness affects the electoral turnout. According to the title it is apparent that I am focusing on municipal elections in Olomouc region in last three following years 2002, 2006 and 2010. Just after initial presentation of electoral system for municipal elections and municipal structures of Olomouc region, I am proceeding to my research. Thus, I will submit the municipalities with a concern of their size, where uncompetitive elections are carried out the most often. Therefore I will affirm my hypothesis, that election non-competitiveness influences electoral turnout by that of lowering it, by usage of synchronic and diachronic comparison. To have my thesis well arranged I am attaching electoral turnout tables within particular municipalities, where both competitiveness and non-competitiveness elections were held.
