Diplomová práce se zabývá narativními prameny v období raného novověku, zejména z hlediska meteorologických zpráv. Z detailní analýzy vyvozuje přednosti a nedostatky pramenů a jejich využití pro historický výzkum, zejména pro dějiny každodennosti. Výpovědní hodnota meteorologických informací je nejen vhodným indikátorem počasí, ale zároveň i vítaným informátorem a svědkem vypovídajícím o způsobu života raně novověkých obyvatel a mentalitě jednotlivých autorů.The thesis Climate during the Little Ice Age and its Reflection in Narrative Sources of the Early Modern Times is based on a study of 35 narrative sources. Chosen works are specific for their variety in genres ? the works in question are not only urban chronicles and diary entries, but we can also find a calendar, an autobiography or a notebook.The thesis is limited by the period of the Little Ice Age, the dating of which is various among different scientists. The thesis evaluates historical climatology as a branch of science which helps history get to know the past and is able to use other sciences such as sociology, phenology etc.The thesis demonstrates that the climate and meteorological information occupy unchangeable position not only in the narrative sources of the Early Modern Age, but also in the historic-climatologic studies.
