Cílem této bakalářské práce je prozkoumání jednotlivých prvků charakterizujících "ideál ženy" ve vybraných dílech Džun'ičiróa Tanizakiho. Konkrétně v románech Deník bláznivého starce, Ti, kteří raději kopřivy, a dále v kratších prózách "Most snů", "Pokus o životopis Šunkin" a "Tetování". Většinu Tanizakiho hrdinek tvoří přitažlivé ženy, silné osobnosti se sobeckými kvalitami, které si podmaňují muže svou krásou a nedosažitelností. Tyto ženské postavy tvoří opěrné body fantazijních světů neomezovaných společenskými konvencemi, které autorovi slouží jako psychologický únik před realitou války a následné modernizace Japonska. Tanizakiho dílem se prolíná neustálé hledání "ideálu ženy", ve kterém se snoubí touha po ztracené matce a touha po krásné ženě jako objektu mužské touhy, který poskytuje útěchu muži znavenému realitou života. Tanizaki se nejčastěji věnuje dvěma typům žen; jedním z nich je žena symbolizující tradiční Japonsko, druhým je nespoutaná, emancipovaná žena ovlivněná přicházejícími změnami modernizujícího se Japonska. Výsledkem je portrét Tanizakiho "ideálu ženy", ve kterém se spojují prvky tradičního s prvky moderního poválečného Japonska.The aim of this bachelor thesis is to explore certain characteristic features of Tanizaki's "ideal woman" in his selected works. Specifically in the novels: Diary of a Mad Old Man; Some Prefer Nettles; and in his short fiction: "The Bridge of Dreams"; "A Portrait of Shunkin" and "The Tattooer". Most of Tanizaki's female protagonists are attractive, strong women with selfish qualities, who entrap men with their beauty and the fact of being unattainable. These female characters represent focal points of imaginary fantasy worlds unbound by society's conventions that provide the author with psychological escape from the reality of war and the subsequent modernization of Japan. Tanizaki's work is permeated with incessant search for the ideal woman, who unites his desire for his lost mother with his desire for a beautiful woman as an object of man's lust that offers consolation to a man who is tired of the reality of everyday life. Tanizaki mostly focuses on two types of women: a woman that symbolizes the traditional Japan and an independent emancipated woman influenced by the changes occurring in modern Japan. The result of this thesis is a portrait of Tanizaki's "ideal woman", which combines traditional aspects with those of the modern postwar Japan.
