Tato práce si klade za cíl poukázat na možné souvislosti bilingvismu a verbální fluence. V teoretické části věnujeme pozornost vymezení pojmů bilingvismus a jeho typologii. Dále jsme pojednali o vývoji řeči, konkrétně o odlišnostech a podobnostech u bilingvních a monolingvních jedinců. Třetí kapitolu jsme věnovali vztahu mezi bilingvismem a kognitivními funkcemi. Podrobněji jsme pojednali o výzkumech realizovaných po roce 1962 a popsali vliv bilingvismu na jednotlivé kognitivní funkce (tvořivost, metajazykové schopnosti, paměť aj.). Ve čtvrté kapitole se zmiňujeme o předsudcích, nevýhodách a výhodách spojených s bilingvismem. V páté kapitole se věnujeme popisu jazyků, ve kterých jsme realizovali výzkum. Popsali jsme jazykovou situaci v daném bilingvním prostředí a jazykové jevy, které souvisí s používáním dvou jazyků. Následující kapitola je věnována popisu metod, které byly využity Ve výzkumné části. Jednalo se o dva testy z oblasti psychodiagnostiky ? Test verbální fluence (VFT) a Krátký test všeobecné inteligence (IQ KAI). Ve výzkumné části prezentujeme výsledky zpracování a analýzy získaných dat. Cílem bylo poukázat na souvislost mezi výkonem v Testu verbální fluence (VFT) a vysokoškolským vzděláním, zvláště s jazykem studia. Dále jsme srovnávali výkon v testu s vlastním určením mateřského jazyka.This thesis is aimed to point out a possible link between bilingualism and verbal fluence. In the theoretical part we pay attention to definitions and typology of bilingualism. There is also discussed the development of speech, especifically the differences and similarities in bilingual and monolingual individuals. The third chapter is devoted to the relationship between bilingualism and cognitive functions. We discuss in detail the research carried out since 1962 and describe the impact of bilingualism on the individual cognitive functions (creativity, metalanguage skills, memory, etc.). In the fourth chapter we refer to prejudices, disadvantages and advantages associated with bilingualism. In the fifth chapter, we describe the languages used in our research study. Also the linguistic situation in the bilingual environment and language phenomena associated with the use of two languages are discussed here. The following chapter is devoted to the description of the methods that were used in the research part. These were two tests of the psychodiagnostics - verbal fluence test (VFT) and the short test of general intelligence (IQ KAI). In the research part there are presented results of data processing and analyses. The aim was to highlight the relationship between performance in verbal fluence test (VFT) and university education, particularly with language of studies. We also compare the results of the test with their own mother tongue determination.
