Struktura krajiny (krajinná mozaika) a kvalita jednotlivých částí krajinné mozaiky (zrno mozaiky), představují základní ekologický rámec pro interpretaci přežívaní druhů v krajině. Watsonarctia casta, Rhyparia purpurata, Orthonamma vittata). Landscape structure (landscape mosaic) and qualitative features of the landscape mosaic (grain of mosaic) represent the basic ecological framework for the interpretation of species surveying in the landscape. Habitat quality and connectivity of the habitats are considered to be crucial environmental characteristics for species surveying. I studied the moths communities (Lepidoptera) associated with the forest fragments situated in landscape mosaic of south-western part of the Český Kras Protected Landscape Area. I studied the effect of habitat features (vegetation type, fragments area, ecotone area, orientacion of the area, etc.) and connectivity (calculated by IFM = Incidence function model) to the species composition/community structure of night moths. Altogether 381 species of night active lepidoptera was searched during sampling period of 2009-2011. Several of them are classified as endangered (i.e. Watsonarctia casta, Rhyparia purpurata, Orthonamma vittata). As far as, the vegetation type and connectivity are the most significant factors driving species diversity and species richness of the moths. However, connectivity increase does not support the richness of moths absolutely/at all. Number of species increases only to the mid-value of connectivity and then levelled off.
