Cílem diplomové práce bylo zachytit život a hudební působení Karla Kostery, významného varhaníka, dirigenta a organizátora. Předkládaná práce ukazuje, že všechny životní etapy pana Kostery jsou spjaty s hudbou, především s hudbou liturgickou. Karel Kostera získal vedle laických poznatků též odborné hudební vzdělání, které mohl využít při práci se sbory. Své vědomosti a zkušenosti pak zúročil, když zakládal Uměleckou agenturu Karla Kostery, o které se v práci rovněž zmiňujeme. Podstatnou část diplomové práce tvoří zachycení osobních názorů Karla Kostery, díky kterým jsme mohli lépe vystihnout jeho život a pochopit jeho životní postoje. Práce pak předkládá i vzpomínky různých lidí na Karla Kosteru. Nechybí ani můj osobní pohled na pana Kosteru. Součástí práce jsou též názory odborníků na liturgickou hudbu, připomínáme i oficiální dokumenty a spisy, které se liturgické hudbě věnují, aby bylo možné porovnat a zhodnotit oficiální stanoviska s názory pana Kostery.The target of the diploma work was to catch the life and music impact of Karel Kostera, significant organist conductor and organizer. The prezent work show that all of the life phases of Mr. Kostera are connected with music, mainly with liturgical music. Karel Kostera acquired next to the lay knowledge also an expert musical education which he could use when working with choirs. His knowledge and skills he capitalized then when he founded an art agency which is also mentioned in the work. The substantial part of the diploma work constitutes catching personal opinions of Karel Kostera, through which we could better graps his life and understand his attitudes. The work then presents also memories of different people on Karel Kostera. There is also my personal view of Mr. Kostera. Part of the work are also views of experts on liturgical music, we remember even oficial documents and publication which devotes up liturgical music to be possible to compare and valorize oficial positions with Mr. Kostera opinions.
