Tato diplomová práce popisuje politickou i náboženskou situaci ve španělské společnosti 16. století v době, kdy žila svatá Terezie z Avily. Práce chce seznámit čtenáře s ctnostmi v jejích dílech přeložených do českého jazyka. Představuje ctnosti všeobecně a dále v Písmu svatém, v Katechismu katolické církve a v Tereziiných dílech.This thesis describes the political and church situation in the Spain?s society in the 16th century when Saint Terezie from Avila lived. It wants to acquaint the readors with the virtues in her writings which have translated into Czech language. It presents the generally virtues and after that them describes in The Holy script, in The Catechism of the catholic church and the Terezia´s writings.
