Tato práce se pokouší definovat osobní asistenci v současném sociálním prostředí a naplnit ? potvrdit či modifikovat pracovní náplň osobní asistence pro zdravotně postižené Ústeckého kraje. K tomu, aby se autorce podařilo tohoto cíle dosáhnout, bylo potřeba celou práci rozpracovat do mnoha podtémat. Klíčovým podtématem je část věnující se definování osobní asistence a náplni práce osobního asistenta/ky. V rámci kapitoly o náplni práce autorka zpracovává zásadní tematiku, která se k hlavní problematice práce klíčovým způsobem vyjadřuje.
