Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou zhroucených států a kritéria pro jejich klasifikaci aplikuje na netypický zhroucený stát - Zimbabwe. V úvodní části práce je detailněji rozebrána tematika zhroucených států a komplikace při definování tohoto termínu. Dále se práce věnuje organizaci Fund for Peace, která již šest let vytváří Index zhroucených států (Failed States Index). Pokračuje přehledem afrických zhroucených států a vývojem jejich umístění ve FSI. Další část se věnuje Zimbabwe a vysvětluje důvody jeho zhroucení na pozadí vývoje v nedávné době. Poslední část práce se zabývá komplikacemi v rozvoji států považovaných za zhroucené a navrhuje možná řešení, která by mohla jejich situaci zlepšit.This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of failed states and applying the criteria for theis classification to an untypical failed state - Zimbabwe. The introduction analyses the problem of failed states into detailes and describes complications while defining this term. In the following chapter the thesis follows the Fund for Peace organization that is the organization creating the Failed States Index. The thesis then continues with an overview of failed states in Africa and the progress of their situation in the FSI. The other chapter of this thesis addresses to Zimbabwe and explains reasons of its failure on the background of its recent history. The last part of this thesis deals with the caomplications in the development of countries judged as failed and suggests possible solutions that might improve their situation.
