V této bakalářské práci se zabývám ústavněprávní ochranou národnostních menšin v České republice. První kapitola je státovědeckým úvodem do dané problematiky, ve kterém rozebírám obecně pojem menšina, jaké jsou druhy menšin a právní možnosti jejich ochrany. V další kapitole podávám ucelený přehled historického vývoje právní úpravy směřující k ochraně menšin od první Československé republiky. V následujících dvou kapitolách se zabývám současnou právní úpravou v ústavním pořádku a v rovině zákonných právních předpisů. Zaměřuji se na vybraná práva menšin, a to na právo na vzdělávání se v jazyce národnostní menšiny a právo účasti na řešení věcí týkajících se národnostních menšin. V poslední kapitole srovnávám právní úpravu České republiky s právní úpravou Slovenské republiky.In my bachelor thesis I explored the protection of minorities as guaranteed by constitutional law in the Czech Republic. In the first chapter, which serves as a politological introduction into the field, I defined the term minority and I also described different types of minorities and the juridicial ways of their protection. In the following chapter I made up a timeline that shows the development of llegal adjustments that have led to the protection of minorities since the first Czechoslovac republic. In the next two chapters I discussed the contemporary legal adjustments within constitutionality and in the field of legal regulations. I focused on specific minority rights, namely on the right to an education in the language of the ethnic minority and on the right to participate in discussions and problem-solvings of issues that are directly related to the ethnic minority. In the last chapter I compared the legal adjustments in the Czech Republic with those of the Slovak Republic.
