Cílem práce je hodnocení správné velikosti školního nábytku v 1. a 2. třídách ve třech základních školách v okrese Olomouc. Výzkumu se zúčastnilo 141 dětí, 64 chlapců a 77 dívek ve věkové kategorii 7-8 let. Byly zhodnoceny somatické parametry, kterými jsou tělesná výška a tělesná hmotnost a výpočet BMI. Naměřené hodnoty tělesné výšky, tělesné hmotnosti a výpočet BMI 7letých a 8letých dětí se porovnávaly pomocí normalizačního indexu s 6. CAV 2001 a nacházely se v pásmu průměru, tedy že normalizační index nepřesáhl ?0,75 sd. Dále byla měřena výška pracovní plochy stolu a výška sedáku dle doporučení ČSN EN 1729-1. Naměřené hodnoty pracovní plochy stolu a sedáku spolu s tělesnou výškou byly vyhodnoceny dle normových požadavků již uvedené platné české technické normy. Současně proběhlo hodnocení ergonomie správného sedu pohledem z boku dle platné vyhlášky č. 410/2005 Sb. Vyhodnocením bylo zjištěno, že ze 141 dětí mělo na základě měření výšky nábytku vhodnou výšku židličky přiděleno 30 dětí (21,30 %) a vhodnou výšku pracovního stolu 35 dětí (24,85 %). Vhodnou výšku židličky a současně vhodnou výšku pracovní plochy stolu mělo 22 dětí (15,62 %). Na základě hodnocení pohledem z boku mělo správný ergonomický sed na židličce 48 dětí (34,08 %), vhodnou výšku stolu 24 dětí (17,04 %) a současně vhodný stůl i židličku mělo 14 dětí (9,94 %).The aim of the study is the evaluation of the correct size of the school furniture in the 1st and 2nd classes in three primary schools in the District of Olomouc Olomouc-Luká, Lutín, Loučany. 141 children, 64 boys and 77 girls, in the age category from 7 to 8 years were involved in the research. The somatic parameters - body height, body weight and BMI calculation were evaluated. The obtained measured values of body height, body weight and BMI calculation of 7-8 year old children were compared by means of standards index with 6th CAV 2001 and remained in the average. It means that standards index did not exceed ? 0,75 of standard deviation. Furthermore, the height of desktop of the table and the height of the seat was measured using the recommendation of the CSN EN 1729-1. The measured values of the desktop area and the seat together with the body height were evaluated using requirements of the already specified actually valid Czech technical standard. Simultaneously, the assessment of the ergonomics of the correct sitting position using the method of the lateral view according to the valid Decree No. 410/2005 of the Collection of Laws. It was found that, 30 out of 141 children (21,3 %) had the appropriate height of the chair and 35 out of 141 children (24,85 %) had the appropriate height of the desktop. The both, an appropriate height of the chair with an appropriate height of the desktop had 22 children (15,62 %). Based on the evaluation using the method of the lateral view 48 children (34,08 %) had correct ergonomic sitting position, 24 children (17,04 %) had the appropriate height of the desktop and 14 children (9,94 %) had together the appropriate height of the desktop with the appropriate height of the chair.
