Diplomová práce se ve své teoretické části zabývá stářím a stárnutím. Definuje samotný pojem sociálních služeb, věnuje se jednotlivým poskytovatelům, popisuje financování služeb. Zmiňuje také téma komunitního plánování sociálních služeb a vymezuje formy péče o seniory. V empirické části se věnuje základní charakteristice Pardubického kraje, popisuje demografickou situaci v kraji. Popisuje samotný výzkum a analyzuje zjištěné údaje. Cílem diplomové práce je zmapování sociálních služeb v Pardubickém kraji zaměřených na cílovou skupinu seniorů.The theoretical part of the diploma thesis pursues elderness and ageing. It defines social services, deals with particular providers and describes the funding of the services. The topic of community planning is mentioned as well and the forms of seniors care are defined. The empiric part is dedicated to the basic characteristics of the Pardubice Region, it describes the demographic situation in the region. The performed research is described and the collected data are analysed. The aim of the diploma thesis is to map social services in the Pardubice Region focused on the seniors target group.
