Vo svojej diplomovej práci som sa sústredila na charakteristiku ženy, ako ju vo svojich dielach vnímal Philip Langmann a jej vzťah k mužom. Snažila som sa zistiť do akej miery bolo zobrazenie ženy závislé na súdobých názoroch. Na tento účel som využila vybrané diela filozofov Nietzscheho a Schopenhauera a spisovateľa Otta Weiningera. Ako ženský protipól som k nim postavila bojovníčku za práva žien Rosu Mayreder.The aim of the tendered master thesis is to show the main attitude towards women at the end of the 19th and in the beginning of the 20th century. This is shown in the introductory part of my thesis, where the ideas of some philosophers and writers are analysed, concretely those of Arthur Schopenhauer, Friedrich Nietzsche, Otto Weininger and Rosa Mayreder. On the one hand there are many new feministic movements which tried to improve the position of the woman, on the other hand the original patriarchal order wanted to be protected. This contrast results in the pressure, which can be seen in short stories by Phillip Langmann whose analysis is the main part of my thesis.
