Note	Tyreotropní hormon tvořený v adenohypofýze. Řídí činnost štítné žlázy. Chem. glykoprotein. V hypofýze je jeho tvorba regulována (stimulována) zejm. působením TRH z hypothalamu. TSH zvyšuje sekreci hormonů štítné žlázy a je jimi zpětnovazebně (negativně) ovlivněn. Toho se využívá i v diagnostice (TSH je utlumen při hypertyreóze a zvýšen při hypotyreóze) (cit.
