Magisterská diplomová práce na základě několika interpretací přibližuje přestavbu klášterního kostela Saint-Denis v Paříži, která proběhla pod vedením opata Sugera v první polovině 12. století. Zároveň analyzuje spisy, které o této přestavbě opat Suger zanechal (Ordinatio, De consecratione, De administratione). Práce je rámcově rozdělena na dvě komplementární části: na část historickou, která poskytuje faktický základ pro část druhou, historiografickou. Historiografická část pak analyzuje obsahuje jak klasickou interpretaci ?gotické? architektury, jejímž autorem je Erwin Panofsky, tak i některé interpretace pozdější.Based on several interpretations, this MA thesis presents the reconstruction of the abbey church of Saint-Denis in Paris which was undertaken under the administration of abbot Suger in the first half of the 12th century. The thesis also analysis the texts that abbot Suger wrote about this reconstruction (Ordinatio, De consecratione, De administratione). There are two basic complementary sections in the thesis: the first, historical section creates the factual basis for the second, historiographic one. The historiographic section analyses the classical interpretation of ?Gothic? architecture, written by Erwin Panofsky, as well as several later interpretations.
