Vztahuje se k hlavním vývojovým úkolům a úzce souvisí se sebehodnocením, osamělostí a sociální inteligencí. Práce si klade za cíl odhalit spojitosti mezi těmito fenomény a hlouběji porozumět významu tajemství pro dospívající v jejich životě. Teoretická část se navíc zabývá konceptem sebe-zatajování, sdílením tajemství a výhodami a riziky odhalení a formami sdělování tajemství. Výzkumnou část tvoří smíšený výzkum. Kvantitativní část zahrnuje zhodnocení souvislostí mezi sebe-zatajováním, sebehodnocením, osamělostí a sociální inteligencí, zjišťuje vliv aktuálních tajemství a dopad sdílení tajemství na tyto fenomény. Zkoumaný soubor tvořilo 142 respondentů ve věku 11-15 let. K použitým metodám patří škály SCS, RSES, UCLA LS a TSIS. Získaná data jsou statisticky zpracována. Z polostrukturovaného interview s dvanácti respondenty vyplynula kvalitativní zjištění o názorech dospívajících na tajemství v jejich životě, svěřování tajemství a roli důvěrníka. Všichni respondenti pro výzkum byli zvoleni příležitostným výběrem. Získané údaje jsou porovnávány s výsledky zahraničních studií.. -- Abstrakt: In the period of pubescence is the issue of secrets more current, than in any other stage of human development. The phenomenon of secrets has a connections with developmental tasks and it is closely related to self-esteem, loneliness and social intelligence. The main aim of this research is to identify this connection and to offer an in-depth understanding of the importance of secrets in pubescents´ lives. The theoretical part deals with the concept of self-concealment, sharing of secrets, benefits and risks of revealing it. The ways of sharing the secrets are also discussed in the paper. Mixed methods reasearch design was used. The quantitative part consists of findings regarding the relationship between self-concealment, self-esteem, loneliness and social intelligence. It also focuses on the effect of current secrets and the impact of sharing secrets. The research sample consists of 142 participants, within the age range 11-15 years. For the research purposes, scales SCS, RSES, UCLA LS and TSIS were used. All the data are statistically processed. based on the semi-structured interview with 12 participants, we can conclude the qualitative findings about the pubescent opinions on secrets, sharing this secrets and about the role of close confidants in their lifes. Opportunity sampling was used as a method for selecting participants. The data obtained are compared with the results of foreign studies.
