Cílem mé diplomové práce je objektivní analýza potenciálu cestovního ruchu studovaného území (okres Svitavy) s přihlédnutím k investicím do cestovního ruchu realizovaných za pomocí strukturálních fondů EU. Nejprve je vymezen a stručně charakterizován okres Svitavy a začleněn do širšího regionálního kontextu. Následuje analýza potenciálu cestovního ruchu, kde je provedeno zhodnocení jak fyzicko-geografických předpokladů tak kulturně-historických předpokladů. V rámci nejvýznamnější části práce je v úvodu uveden postupný vývoj podpory cestovního ruchu z prostředků Evropské unie. Zvýšená pozornost je věnována Regionálnímu operačnímu programu NUTS II Severovýchod. Následuje přehled nejvýznamnějších projektů na podporu rozvoje cestovního ruchu v okrese Svitavy podpořených z fondů EU. Důležitým bodem práce je praktická část, v rámci které bylo provedeno zhodnocení jak potenciálu cestovního ruchu tak konkrétních projektů na podporu rozvoje cestovního ruchu. V poslední části práce je uvedena SWOT analýza komplexního zhodnocení potenciálů cestovního ruchu. Rovněž jsou zde uvedeny plánované záměry v daných městech a okolí s vlivem na cestovní ruch. Na závěr je sepsáno několik vlastních návrhů a doporučení na podporu rozvoje cestovního ruchu.The aim of my diploma paper is to perform an objective analysis of the tourism potential in the studied region (the Svitavy district), while taking into account the investments into tourism implemented with the help of EU structural funds. First, the specification of the district together with its short characteristics is provided. The district is then presented in a wider regional context. In the following chapter, there is an analysis of the tourism potential. The analysis takes into account both the physical-geographical prerequisites and the cultural-historical prerequisites. As stated in the introduction to this paper, the gradual development of tourism support issued by the European Union represents the most prominent part of this paper Increased attention is paid to the Regional operational programme NUTS II Northeast. An overview of the major projects supporting tourism development in the Svitavy district follows. All of these projects were funded by the EU. The practical part constitutes an important feature of this paper. In this part, the tourism potential as a whole, and also the specific projects supporting tourism development were assessed. In the last part of the paper, a SWOT analysis together with an overall assessment of the tourism potentials is included. Future development plans for the given towns and their environment with regard to tourism are enclosed, too.
