Engelbrecht. -- Oponent Iwona Piotrowská. -- Abstrakt: Tato diplomová práce je věnována překladu novely De erfenis současné nizozemské spisovatelky Connie Palmen do češtiny a analýze překladatelských problémů. První část představuje autorku, charakterizuje její osobní styl a řadí ji do autobiografické prózy, literárního směru, jenž je v Nizozemsku na vzestupu od 80. let 20. století. Dále se práce zabývá její tvorbou, stěžejními díly a tématy, která se v nich často opakují. Jedna kapitola je věnována rozboru novely De erfenis a jejímu zařazení v rámci celkové autorčiny tvorby. V následující kapitole je ukázána práce českých překladatelů z nizozemštiny a některé problémy, které musejí při snaze o vydaní svých překladů překonat. Část je věnována i nadacím a fondům, jež jim v tomto nelehkém úkolu mají pomáhat. Stěžejní část však tvoří překlad samotný o rozsahu 67 stran a rozbor překladatelských problémů, které se vyskytovaly nejčastěji. Analýza má tři části podle jednotlivých jazykových plánů ? semantickou, gramatickou a pragmatickou. Oba jazyky jsou zde srovnávány i z hledika jejich typologií a odlišností obou kultur.. -- Abstrakt: This master thesis deals with the Czech translation of the Dutch novella De erfenis by Connie Palmen and the analysis of the translation problems. The first part introduces the writer and her work, it describes her style as autobiographic prose that has been popular in the Netherlands since the 1980s. The following chapters focus on Connie Palmen?s work and the themes that she often explores in her books. One of the chapters deals with the novella itself with respect to other works of the writer. The following part shows the work of Czech translators from Dutch and the obstacles they have to overcome in order to have their translations published. It also introduces some of the foundations and other institutions that help them in this task. However, the central part of the thesis is the translation of De erfenis itself and the analysis of the translation problems that caused the greatest trouble. The analysis is divided into three parts according to the different linguistic plans ? semantics, grammar and pragmatics. Both languages are also compared and contrasted from the point of view of their typologies and cultural differences.
