Cílem práce je představit anglického interpreta, pedagoga a skladatele Alana Davise (*1945) a jeho tvorbu pro zobcové flétny - na tomto příkladě tak dokumentovat renesanci zobcové flétny ve 20. a 21. století. Práce ve 26 analýzách mapuje 30 let Davisovy tvorby (1978-2008). Charakterizuje moderní techniky hry na zobcovou flétnu, které užívají skladatelé soudobé hudby včetně Davise. Podává přehled konzervatoří a univerzit v České republice, kde je možno studovat zobcovou flétnu jako hlavní obor. Zmiňuje důležité milníky a klíčové osobnosti v obrození nástroje ve 20. století.The aim of this thesis is to raise public awareness of the revival of the recorder in the 20th and 21st century. It does so by presenting the analyses of pieces composed for the instrument by an English musician, teacher and composer Alan Davis (*1945). The thesis lists 26 his compositions and thereby describes the 30 years of Davis' work (1978-2008). The introductory chapters describe the milestones of the revival of the recorder and important personalities. The thesis also lists conservatoires and universities in the Czech Republic at which recorder playing can be studied as a major subject and presents the techniques used by contemporary composers, including Alan Davis.
