Demencí trpí lidé po celém světě a její výskyt je stále častější. Toto onemocnění je zatím nevyléčitelné, pouze je možné zmírnit jeho příznaky. K tomu lze použít jak farmakologické, tak i nefarmakologické metody. Jednou z nefarmakologických metod je také zooterapie. Cílem této bakalářské práce bylo sumarizovat aktuální dohledané poznatky o vlivu zooterapie na pacienty s demencí. Hlavní cíl byl dále rozdělen na dva dílčí cíle. V prvním dílčím cíli jsou sumarizovány aktuální dohledané poznatky o vlivu zooterapie na psychický stav pacientů s demencí, kde byly zjištěny velmi pozitivní účinky v podobě lepší komunikace, nálady, emocí, chování a snížení depresivních symptomů. Druhý dílčí cíl této práce se zabývá vlivem zooterapie na fyzický stav pacientů s demencí. Z výsledků v tomto cíli je opět patrný pozitivní účinek v podobě zlepšení rovnováhy, chůze, soběstačnosti a snížení bolesti. Ke splnění výše uvedených cílů byly použity studie dohledané na elektronických databázích EBSCO, Medvik, Google Scholar, PubMed a ScienceDirect.Dementia affects people all over the world and its incidence is increasing. The disease is not yet curable, it is only possible to reduce its symptoms. Both pharmacological and non-pharmacological methods can be used to do this. One of the non-pharmacological methods is zootherapy. The aim of this bachelor thesis was to summarize the current findings on the effect of zootherapy on patients with dementia. The main objective was divided into two sub-objectives. The first sub-objective summarised the current findings on the effect of zootherapy on the psychological state of dementia patients, where very positive effects were found in the form of improved communication, mood, emotions, behaviour and reduction of depressive symptoms. The second sub-objective of this thesis focuses on the effect of zootherapy on the physical state of dementia patients. The results in this sub-objective again show a positive effect in the form of improved balance, gait, self-sufficiency and reduction in pain. Studies found on the electronic databases EBSCO, Medvik, Google Scholar, PubMed and ScienceDirect were used to achieve the above sub-objectives.
