Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá akademickým stresem, vzorci užívání nikotinu a souvislostí mezi těmito fenomény u studentů lékařských fakult. V teoretické části se zabývá stresem obecně a následně pojednává o akademickém stresu a nikotinu. Praktická část byla realizována pomocí elektronického dotazníku vlastní konstrukce a části dotazníku Student-life stress inventory. Dotazníkové šetření bylo provedeno celkově dvakrát, a to na začátku zimního semestru a po konci zimního semestru a bylo provedeno na studentech prvních ročníků lékařských fakult (n=71). Cílem výzkumu bylo popsat vzorce užívání nikotinu, popsat míru a prožívání akademického stresu a zjistit souvislost mezi mírou akademického stresu a mírou užívaného nikotinu. Na základě dat z dotazníkového šetření nebyla nalezena souvislost mezi mírou akademického stresu a mírou užívaného nikotinu, nicméně byl nalezen rozdíl v míře akademického stresu mezi muži a ženami.The bachelor thesis focuses on academic stress, patterns of nicotine use and the connection between these two phenomena in medical students. The theoretical part focuses on stress, academic stress and nicotine. Originally constructed online questionnaire was implemented in the practical part alongside a part of Student-life stress inventory questionnaire. The survey has been done twice. At the beginning of the winter semester and after the end of the winter semester. The participants were first year medical students (n=71). The objective of this research was to describe the patterns of use of nicotine, describe the rate and the experiencing of the academic stress and to inspect a connection between the rate of academic stress and the rate of nicotine use among medical students. Based on the data acquired from the survey, there was no connection found between academic stress rate and nicotine use rate however, a difference was found in academic stress between men and women.
