The more recent years have seen the trend towards sustainable development has grown on a national, regional and global scale. Governments are contributing to this by creating policies and laws that protect and govern the environment. Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDCs) are some of the most vulnerable countries to the consequences of the anthropogenic activities that results in global warming and climate change. Additionally, their geographical location results in a tendency towards using natural resources sustain the economy as trade is usually limited. This paper makes a comparison of between the environmental policies of the Kyrgyz Republic and Zambia using the What's the Problem Represented to be? (WPR) approach as a basis for identifying the similarities and differences of the same.
