Tento termín mnoho lidí pořád nezná, i když se komunita nebinárních lidí v České republice neustále rozrůstá. Překlad nebinárních textů se správným porozuměním dané komunity a strategií, které může překladatel použít, povede k navýšení znalostí a tím pádem i k lepšímu porozumění nebinární komunity. Teoretická část této práce se zabývá Queer teorií, Queer překladem, gramatickým rodem, genderově neutrálním jazykem, anglickými a českými zájmeny a překladatelskými strategiemi, které se dají použít při překladu genderově neutrálního jazyka. Praktická část se zabývá dotazníkem, který je hlavní částí této práce. Respondenti byli požádáni o přeložení dvou autentických textů (texty byly napsány nebinárními autory) z angličtiny do češtiny. Respondenti byli rozděleni do dvou skupin o 31 lidech: nebinární a cisgenderová skupina. Odpovědi obou skupin byly porovnány a následná analýza odhalila rozdílné přístupy a znalost genderově neutrálního jazyka.. -- Abstract: The aim of this thesis is spreading awareness about gender-neutral language in the Czech Republic as it is still a new term for many people living there and the Czech non-binary community is becoming more prominent every day and translating texts with better understanding of the identity and strategies the translator can take will lead to higher and better exposure and thus better understanding the people who are part of the community. The theoretical part focuses on Queer Theory, Queer Translation, grammatical gender, gender-neutral language, English and Czech pronouns, and possible translation strategies for gender-neutral language. The practical part of the thesis focuses on questionnaire which is the main part of the thesis where the respondents had to translate two authentic (written by non-binary authors) texts from English to Czech. The respondents were divided into two groups of 31 respondents each: non-binary and cisgender. The responses of these two groups are then compared to see how different the approaches are and how people react and are familiar with the non-binary language.
