Bakalářská práce se zabývá tvorbou tematického atlasu zaměřeného na vybrané demografické charakteristiky na území Česka. Hlavním cílem práce bylo vytvořit tematický atlas s využitím dat ČSÚ, existujících prací Katedry geoinformatiky UP a veřejně dostupných dat. Práce popisuje celý proces tvorby atlasu od teoretického vymezení základních pojmů, přes zpracování dat, až po předtiskovou přípravu. Pro lepší přehlednost je práce rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část se zabývá problematikou demografie, metodami tematické kartografie a její součástí je taktéž rešerše existujících kartografických děl. Praktickou část představuje samotná tvorba atlasu. Prvním krokem této části bylo vymezení obsahu atlasu, který vznikl na základě zadání, vytvořené rešerše a odborných konzultací. Následně byly vybrány vhodné metody zpracování a byl navržen design atlasu. Příprava získaných dat byla provedena v programu Microsoft Excel. Primární zpracování dat a jednoduché analýzy proběhly v prostředí ArcMap 10.6. Grafická úprava mapových výstupů a doplnění mapových listů o základní i nadstavbové kompoziční prvky bylo realizováno v softwaru Adobe Illustrator CS6. Atlas byl poté zkompletován v programu Adobe InDesign CS6, kde byla následně provedena také předtisková příprava. Hlavním výsledkem práce je tištěný tematický atlas. Elektronická verze atlasu je spolu s posterem a textem práce dostupná na webových stránkách bakalářské práce. Výsledky práce mohou být využity k dalšímu studiu demografických jevů a procesů, popř. mohou sloužit odborníkům v praxi k jejich strategickému rozhodování. Atlas má informativní charakter a je určen taktéž pro veřejnost.The bachelor thesis deals with the creation of a thematic atlas focused on selected demographic characteristics in the Czechia. The main aim of the work was to create a thematic atlas with the use of Czech Statistical Office data, existing works of the Department of Geoinformatics Palacký University Olomouc and publicly available data. The work describes the whole process of creating an atlas from the theoretical definition of basic concepts, through data processing, to pre-printing preparation. For better clarity, the work is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part deals with the issue of demography, methods of thematic cartography and it also includes a search of existing cartographic works. The practical part represents the creation of the atlas itself. The first step of this part was to define the content of the atlas, which was created based of the assignment and of the created search. Subsequently, suitable processing methods were selected, and the design of the atlas was designed. The preparation of the obtained data was performed in Microsoft Excel. Primary data processing and simple analysis took place in ArcMap 10.6. Graphic editing of map outputs and addition of basic and superstructure compositional elements to the map sheets was realized in the Adobe Illustrator CS6. The atlas was then completed in Adobe InDesign CS6, where the pre-printing preparation was also performed. The main result of the work is a printed thematic atlas. The electronic version of the atlas, together with the poster and text of the thesis, is available on the website of the thesis. The results of the work can be used for further study of demographic phenomena and processes, or they can serve experts in practice for their strategic decision-making. The atlas is informative and is also intended for the public.
