(199 736 znakov) + 1 CD ROM s prácou. -- Oponent Jitka Zehnalová. -- Ved. práce Josefína Zubáková. -- Abstrakt: Predmetom tejto diplomovej práce je analýza českých a slovenských prekladov románu The Sun Also Rises s ohľadom na Hemingwayov autorského štýlu, ktorý je pre správne pochopenie a vnímanie diela kľúčový. V úvode práca predstavuje svoj cieľ a poskytuje základné poznatky o Hemingwayovi, o analyzovanom románe a o štruktúre práce. Jadro diplomovej práce pozostáva z dvoch častí. Prvá, teoretická časť, v sebe zahŕňa tri kapitoly. Čitateľovi sú predstavené charakteristické prvky Hemingwayovho štýlu, česko-slovenská translatologická tradícia umeleckého prekladu a problematika prekladu Hemingwaya u nás i v zahraničí. Druhá, praktická časť tejto práce začína s predstavením analyzovaného materiálu a jeho prekladateľov. Analýza sa v samostatnej kapitole zaoberá prekladmi charakteristických prvkov Hemingwayovho štýlu, tj. jednoduchým jazykom, expresivitou, princípom ľadovca a opakovaním. Každá z podkapitol analyzuje preklady prvku do detailu, a to aj prostredníctvom priamej konfrontácie s originálom. Záver práce na základe získaných informácií z analýzy hodnotí samotné preklady. Poukazuje na ich rozdiely a vyberá ten, ktorý Hemingwayov autorský štýl tlmočí cieľovému čitateľovi najlepšie.. -- Abstrakt: The subject of this diploma thesis is the analysis of Czech and Slovak translations of a novel titled The Sun Also Rises with respect to Hemingway's authorial style, which is crucial for the right understanding and perception of the work. In the Introduction, the thesis presents its aim and provides the basic knowledge of Hemingway, of the analyzed novel, and of the structure of this work. The core of the work consists of two parts. The first, theoretical one, includes three chapters. It presents the characteristic aspects of Hemingway's style, Czechoslovak translatologic tradition in the field of literary translation, and the problems of the translation of Hemingway here and abroad. The second, practical part of this thesis begins with presenting the analyzed material and its translators. In the separate chapter, the analysis deals with the translations of the characteristic aspects of Hemingway's style, i.e., the simple language use, expressiveness, the iceberg principle, and repetition. Each subchapter analyzes the translations of the given aspect in greater detail, and that also by means of a comparison with the original. The conclusion of the thesis evaluates the translations according to the obtained information from the analysis. It shows the differences of translations and chooses the one which translates Hemingway's authorial style to the target reader in the best way.
