Tato diplomová práce se zabývá komplexní analýzou díla Prinzessin Brambilla od E.T.A. Hoffmanna, okolnostmi jeho vzniku, intertextualitou, prvky důležitými pro poetiku tohoto díla, tj. pro Hoffmanna typickým motivem dvojníka a s ním spojeným hledáním identity, dále pak motivem divadla, estetikou karnevalu a humoru. V neposlední řadě se práce zabývá také analýzou naratologických struktur daného díla.This thesis deals with a comprehensive analysis of E.T.A. Hoffmann's capriccio Prinzessin Brambilla, with the circumstances of its formation and with its intertextuality. It describes the elements important for the poetics of the capriccio, i.e. with the for Hoffmann typical motive of doppelganger and identity crisis and also with the motive of theatre, aesthetics of carnival and humour. Last but not least the thesis deals with an analysis of narrative structures of the given work.
