Hlavním cílem této práce bylo zhodnotit adaptaci českého sitcomu Helena. V práci jsem porovnala mizanscénu, intertextualitu obou hereček, vzhled herců v hlavních rolích, strukturu epizod, a především dějové odlišnosti. Při porovnání jsem zjistila, že čeští tvůrci se vyhnuli zpracování komplikovaným tématům a neúmyslně tím ukázali nepochopení hlavní podstaty Roseanne. Kromě toho zvolené herecké obsazení neprokázalo schopnost adaptace na žánrový a herecký formát sitcomů. Nejlé-pe adaptovaným aspektem Heleny byla mizanscéna, nejhůře dopadly aktualizace do dnešní doby.The main goal of this thesis was evaluating the adaptation of American sitcom Rosseanne into the czech version called Helena. I compared the mise-en-scéne, intertextuality of both main actresses, appearance of the main characters, structure of the episodes and especially differences in the plot. I discovered that the creators of the czech version avoided the complicated topics and unintentionally revealed the incomprehension of the main essence of Rosseanne. Besides this fact, the cast of the czech version of the sitcom didn´t showed the ability to adapt on the genre and the theathrical format of sitcoms. The aspect that was adapted most success-fully was the mise-en-scéne and the worst aspect was the attempt to transfer the show into the present time.
